The Department of Education, through the ECU Grants Program, provides one-off grant funding to eligible organisations to complete upgrades to an education and care/child care service premises. When an ECU Minor Infrastructure grant round is opened, notification is sent to all education and care services and licensed services via email. Notification is also posted on the home page of the ECU website.
The objective of the capital grants program is to support Tasmanian education and Care services to provide safe, inclusive, high-quality education and Care to children, particularly those disadvantaged by geographic or socio-economic circumstances.
The Department of Education, through the ECU Grants Program, provides funding to assist eligible organisations to complete minor upgrades to an education and care/child care service premises. These grants are known as Minor Infrastructure grants.
Generally, the ECU determines priorities for a particular grant round on a case-by-case basis, depending on a range of factors, including:
- the needs of the Tasmanian education and Care sector at the time; and
- the available budget
